CORNYN
Senator John Cornyn, I Respect Your Accomplishments. However, You are Leader Who Lacks the Conviction to Lead.
Dear Incumbent Senator Cornyn,
I have not met you personally, but I am sure you are an incredible human being. I am aware of your many academic and professional accomplishments, and I must say, you are quite an accomplished gentleman. This open letter is not my judgement against you as a person, but who you have demonstrated yourself to be as a leader. My run for office is nothing personal against you, but we have a State, a Nation, and a Constitution to restore. Right now is not the time to have leadership that is conflicted, but to secure leadership with conviction. The state of Texas and our Constitution have been under attack by our enemies both foreign and domestic and for far too long, we have watched our leadership remain neutral as our enemies have gained ground. The time has come for leaders with conviction who are willing to stand up for Texas and our Constitution to lead without apologies or compromise, and defend its founding principles of Life, Liberty, and Happiness.
Again, I must admit, your professional resume is certainly nothing to sneeze at or overlook. However, your leadership resume is lacking conviction; a key character trait which every leader must have. I repeat, this is nothing personal, but we have a nation to save and Texas is set to play a pivotal role in restoring our United States Constitution. Therefore, a leader with conviction is needed for such a time as this in the great state of Texas. It is for this very reason that I am challenging you for the 2026 U.S. Senate seat representing the great state of Texas.
When it comes down to it Senator, we are both human beings and therefore imperfect vessels. No one who runs for office or any position runs because they are perfect, spotless, or without blemish. If perfection were the qualifier, no one will feel justified or qualified to do anything, much less run for office. Many politicians in office or who run for office have outstanding professional achievements in the legal and business fields. However, what sets a true leader apart from the pack is CONVICTION. The conviction to uphold their oath of office to the Constitution and Constituents.
Although you have had four terms (over 2 decades) in office as a U.S. Senator for Texas, your tenure has been confirmation for the people of Texas that you lack the conviction to lead our State and help President Trump to restore our nation’s Constitution. When compared with President Trump, you lack a very crucial character trait that a true leader must have; CONVICTION. President Trump has conviction, I have conviction, but you Senator Cornyn are lacking in conviction.
A leader without conviction is ineffective. A leader without conviction is always neutral, sits on the fence when they need to take a stand, and their main priority becomes keeping their position and power; not serving the people. The people of Texas elected you in office to lead with conviction and defend the rights and values of Texans and uphold the Constitution. However, you have been MIA (Missing In Action) and it appears your main job has been to keep your job instead of do the job you were elected to perform. The people of Texas elected you to fight for them and defend the Constitution. However, it appears that the only thing you are fighting for and defending is your position as U.S. Senator.
I must say Senator, your greatest litmus test has been President Trump. President Trump is without question, a leader with CONVICTION. This is what has set President Trump apart from the rest of the pack.
Senator Cornyn, you referred to your relation with President Trump as a “Bad Marriage.” Here is the cited source: Article authored by Eric Todisco (Eric Todisco is a former digital news writer at PEOPLE. He left PEOPLE in 2021), and published by People Inc on October 18, 2020 06:00PM EDT entitled, “Republican Senator from Texas Compares His Relationship with Trump to a Bad Marriage: 'He Is Who He Is'“
It will make perfect sense that you refer to your relationship to President Trump as a bad marriage. As I stated earlier, President Trump is a leader with Conviction and you are in a leadership role without the conviction to lead. Your main focus is to keep your job instead of do the the job you were elected to do. Meanwhile President Trump is focused on being a leader who leads with conviction and gets the job done. If you had conviction as President Trump does, you will not describe your relationship with such a great leader to a “Bad Marriage.” In fact you and President Trump will get along wonderfully.
In contrast to you, I will get along with President Trump incredibly because just like President Trump, I will lead with conviction, and not shy away from taking a stand for the Truth, Texas, our Nation, and our Constitution. You have criticized President Trump in the past when it was politically expedient for you to do so. You criticized President Trump on his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic; you also criticized President Trump on his handling of the January 6th protest at the the Capital, and you also criticized President Trump’s bid to run for office in 2024. Yet now, you are seeking your way back into President Trump’s good graces to secure an endorsement for reelection in 2026.
As Queen Esther in the Scriptures challenged and called out Haman for his disloyalty and selfish leadership before King Xerxes of the Persian Empire, I believe it is right that I call you out as well. The truth is Senator Cornyn, you have not been loyal to the people of Texas or to President Trump. You have been silent or neutral towards the needs of Texans and you have criticized President Trump when President Trump was fighting on behalf of the American people and defending the Constitution.
Your attacks on President Trump, a man who has demonstrated superior leadership, conviction, and commitment to the Constitution are a direct attack on the people of Texas, our Nation, and the Constitution. Now that President Trump is President, you are no longer in attack mode or criticizing him because it is now politically expedient to win President Trump’s endorsement to secure your position once again as U.S. Senator.
The question is, if re-elected for another 6 years, what damage will you do since you no longer need President Trump’s endorsement? Would you help him Make America Great Again or would you go back to criticizing President Trump as you have done numerously in the past? You seem to lead like a Chameleon; you are one color today and another color the next day.
What kind of leader are you really, Senator Cornyn? Let’s look no further than a few statements you made about President Trump (a leader with conviction and commitment) to understand the kind of leader you are; one without conviction who is ineffective.
When looking at all your past rhetoric against President Trump, It seems you hate President Trump. As you stated, your relationship with President Trump is like a “Bad Marriage… You either love him or hate him” In fact, here is your full statement:
“Maybe like a lot of women who get married and think they're going to change their spouse, and that doesn’t usually work out very well," Cornyn said.
"I think what we found is that we’re not going to change President Trump," he said. "He is who he is. You either love him or hate him, and there's not much in between. What I tried to do is not get into public confrontations and fights with him because, as I’ve observed, those usually don’t end too well."
It is clear Senator Cornyn that judging from your past statements and open sentiments about your relationship with President Trump that YOU HATE President Trump. What else could be the natural conclusion of the matter? As you stated, there is no in between, there is only love or hate for President Trump. Since you referred to your relationship with President as a “Bad Marriage,” we can only come to the natural conclusion that YOU SENATOR CORNYN, YOU HATE President Trump. You do not deserve an endorsement from President Trump because neither President Trump or the people of Texas can trust you for another six years.
Senator Cornyn, you told CNN that “Trump could be an ‘albatross’ to party.” Here is the cited source: Article authored by Manu Raju, Senior Political Reporter, and published by CNN Politics Updated 5:12 PM EST, Mon February 29, 2016 entitled, “Leading GOP senator: Trump could be an ‘albatross’ to party.”
Senator Cornyn, you referred to President Trump during his 2016 bid for President as an “albatross” to the Republican Party. You further stated:
“We can’t have a nominee be an albatross around the down-ballot races,” Cornyn told CNN when asked if he had concerns about the prospect of Trump winning the GOP race. “That’s a concern of mine.”
When asked if Trump would be a drain on the party’s bid to keep control of the Senate, the Texas senator said, “I think he certainly is a controversial figure. I think we need someone who can unify the party, as opposed to divide the party.”
Senator Cornyn, you have proven yourself to not have the conviction as a leader to make sound judgment about what true leadership looks like. Only a true leader with conviction knows another true leader with conviction. You referring to President Trump as an “albatross,” shows that your leadership judgement is lacking and compromised. When you refer to President Trump as an “albatross,” you are stating that President Trump is a heavy burden, someone who causes significant problems, who is impossible to escape, who wears people down, and who is an obstacle to success.
Senator Cornyn, the people of Texas reject your assessment of President Trump as an albatross who is a burden and an obstacle to success.
Now that it is politically expedient for you, you now wish to align yourself with the MAGA base and secure President Trump’s endorsement. Now that is what I call a leader that is bad for Texas and the Constitution.
Senator Cornyn, you are leader without Conviction because you go wherever the wind blows. You will do whatever serves your interest and is politically beneficial for you and not what serves Texas or our nation. You are there to serve your big pocket donors and lobbyists and certainly not Texans. You are a follower and not a leader. Your roots have no foundation to anchor themselves to because you are missing the soil of conviction. A leader such as yourself and lacking in conviction has no judicial-moral compass to lead the people of Texas. That is why you have failed the people of Texas and should not be reelected again in 2026.
Despite all your academic and professional accomplishments, you opposed President Trump’s 2016, 2020, and 2024 election bids. You failed to discern that President Trump was a true leader with conviction and commitment to restore our nation and its constitution. In contrast to your record, I have always been a loyal and unwavering supporter of President Trump since he came down those escalators in 2015. The moment he announced his bid in 2016 for President, I saw in President Trump the conviction of a leader and a sincere commitment to Make America Great Again.
I saw a man who in his third presidential debate against then Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton defend the right to life for America’s Posterity; the preborn America. A position and declaration which most leaders in his party will not openly make or defend. President Trump’s convictions and love for America and the Constitution trumps any fears, obstacles, or challenges he has to face or endure (pun intended). While you supported and funded the Mueller Investigation, a witch hunt against the greatest President in the History of the United States, I was writing and mailing letters to the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC; addressed to President Trump. I was encouraging President Trump to stand his ground and that God had anointed Him for such a time as this to lead our nation.
I also fought several battles for my life and religious liberty in federal court against the Federal bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). I fought the deep state when it was unpopular to do so and was willing to hold my head up and lay my life down for Liberty. I understood what President Trump was going through as I was also personally going through similar battles at the same time. My taxes were audited, and I was in Federal courts filing motions, standing up to the Leviathan that is the deep state while pregnant with twins, a wife, mother to four children, and by the grace and mercy of God, I survived. Only by the grace of God and His righteous judgement.
I sought the help of members of Congress to intervene and traveled to Washington, DC to meet with some Senators. I wrote letters, made phone calls, and filed cases. Then I realized that most leaders in Washington, DC are there for power, money, and to serve themselves and not their Constituents. I have personally experienced that betrayal and disregard from leadership and can empathize with my future constituents who express the same disregard by their leadership.
I stood up alone with conviction to the tyrannical deep state and put my entire life on the line for something much bigger than myself. I did so with the help of Almighty God, my faith, my family, conviction in the truth and my constitutional rights to life, liberty, and happiness. I have something better to offer the people of Texas, that is my commitment and determination to lead with faith and conviction. I know a true leader when I see one and Senator, you have proven yourself to be a leader lacking in conviction, vision, and mission.
I am a leader with conviction. A leader who values and respects our founding principles. It is certain that a leader lacking in these qualities will betray Texans. This is not just any campaign, it is our calling together to set a precedent that is different from our past. To uphold our rights to Life, Liberty, and Happiness for all Americans and return God’s blessings back to America.
“Senator John Cornyn, thank you for your time in service. The people of Texas are ready for a change. The people of Texas want to see LIFE, LIBERTY, and HAPPINESS.” - Anna Bender
