God Creates Life. People Defend Life.
Texans believe that we worship God, not Government. The founders of this great Constitutional Republic also believed that Government is instituted by God to serve its people. Texans reject statism.
The Gift of Life
Texans have common sense; that’s right! Texans know that Life is a precious gift from God, and must be cherished and protected. A true leader is one who fears the God of Life. A leader who fears God will defend the Constitutional rights of all Texans to life, liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. A true leader cannot defend anyone’s right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness without defending the right to life for all Texans. For without life, there is no liberty and neither is there any pursuit of happiness. Life is the foundation for Liberty and Happiness.
Life in our Founding
Our founding fathers made a bold statement in our Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Self-evident truths: basic principles that are obvious and require no proof.
All men are created equal: Everyone who is created, not only born (meaning from conception), has inherent worth from our Creator God and therefore should be afforded equal rights and protections similar to those extended to those born.
Unalienable rights: The rights of Texans to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness cannot be taken away or transferred, as stated in the Declaration.
Similarly, our founding fathers made a bold statement in the Preamble of our nation’s Constitution, "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Ourselves and Our Posterity: The main purpose of our Constitution is to secure the blessings of liberty for current and future generations (All Americans). Meaning, not only those born, but also the preborn Americans, including those yet to be born. Our Constitution protects LIFE, plain and simple. Our blessings to liberty, and the opportunity for happiness can only be secured if we are allowed to live the life God has given us.
How can one experience Liberty or the pursuit of Happiness without being afforded their unalienable right to life?
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are unalienable rights that are endowed to all men, created equally by their Creator God, and those rights cannot be taken away or transferred. We are all created equal from the moment we were conceived or created; not when we are born into this world.
Our founding fathers chose Life, not only for themselves, but likewise for their descendants and future generations. As a result, the God of the Bible honored the virtues and sacrifice of our founding fathers and made a covenant with our founders in the defense of LIFE, His image here on earth.
God has always kept His hand on this nation because our founders chose Life, and with Life comes Liberty, and with Liberty comes the pursuit of happiness.
Our Founders made a Declaration and formed a Constitution before God rooted in Deuteronomy 30:19, “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.”
As your next U.S. Senator, I pledge to defend your God given right to Life, Liberty, and Happiness, as our founding founders intended in the Declaration of Independence and in our Constitution. As a people, we cannot justify holding our government accountable for acts of corruption, wasteful spending, and violating our liberties, when we have set the bar to its lowest level in agreeing to legalize the destruction of America’s Posterity. When we validate the taking away of life from innocent human beings, we likewise validate the eradication of our liberties. The government is a reflection of its people.
