Texans stand for freedom, not tyranny. The founders of this great Constitutional Republic also believed that a tyrannical Government is unconstitutional for its people. Texans reject tyranny.
The Blessing of Liberty
Texans understand that Liberty is a right and also a privilege that comes with sacrifice. When you study the history of the United States and Texas, you are reminded of the Revolutionary war, the Civil War, and the Alamo. The Preamble of our Constitution tells us exactly why all 13 colonies unified to form a federal government that would “ establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity”
Liberty in our Founding
The Revolutionary war marked the beginning of America’s independence from a tyrannical government in Great Britain. The Revolutionary war lasted from 1775 to 1783, and ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris, officially recognizing American independence. Approximately 70,000 Americans died in the Revolutionary war.
Following the defeat of Great Britain, in an effort to discourage the Governors of all 13 colonies from disbanding the army, George Washington wrote a "Circular Letter Addressed to the Governors of all the States on Disbanding the Army (June 14, 1783). In his letter, he challenged all 13 colonies to choose a system of Government (federal) that would unionize all 13 colonies into one powerful nation, while still allowing the individual States to retain most of their power.
Washington’s letter, ignited a spirit of hope and determination among the founders of our nation’s constitution. In response to Washington’s letter, other founders of the union (Constitution) made powerful statements about the singular reason for why they would choose to unionize.
As evidenced by their writings, their main motivation to unite and preserve the independence and freedom they had achieved from their victory in the Revolutionary war was primarily for America’s future Posterity; the future generation of this nation. Those not yet born (the preborn American).
The need to secure the blessings of liberty not just for themselves, as they had already achieved in their victory against Great Britain, but, likewise for their Posterity. Posterity was the common theme to bringing all 13 colonies to the table to unite as one nation under God and the U.S. Constitution.
For why would our founding fathers have suffered so much bloodshed, sickness, disease, etc. in defeating a super power such as Great Britain in the Revolutionary war, only to let all that effort go to waste? The founders came together as they sought to preserve this new found freedom for their Posterity, offspring, future generations, or the preborn American.
When we as a nation, collectively deny our Posterity or future generations their blessings to liberty, we are in breach of our nation’s founding and our Constitutional duty and oath to secure the blessings of liberties for our Posterity. We have also breached our covenant with our Creator by destroying the lives He has created. If our rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness come from God alone, why then are we taking God’s place and denying certain men whom He alone created of those very rights?
We cannot chose life for ourselves and deny life for America’s Posterity or preborn. It is either we choose Life for everyone and be blessed or choose death and be cursed.
It is either God gave us those rights and the government cannot take it away or the men gave us those rights and men can take it away. We need to be consistent in our virtues, beliefs, and principles in order to sustain this great Constitutional Republic.
Remember, our founders sacrificed prosperity for Posterity. When all 13 colonies agreed to be annexed into one big nation called these United States of America, they all agreed to the terms of the Preamble of the Constitution. Those terms include, “to secure the blessings of liberty for our Posterity.” Every state after that was annexed into the United States, also agreed to the same terms set forth in the Constitution which the 13 colonies agreed to abide by. Therefore, Legalized abortion in any state, not only Texas, is a violation of our nation’s Constitution and therefore should be abolished. The life of the preborn American must be defended with equal veracity and tenacity as that of any living human being. By allowing for the legalization of abortion in America, we are sacrificing Posterity for a false sense of “prosperity.” This is the antithesis of what our founding fathers intended for America and its Constitution.
As your next U.S. Senator, I pledge to defend your God given right to Life, Liberty, and Happiness, as our founding fathers intended in the Declaration of Independence and our nation’s Constitution. In order to solve the issues plaguing our great state of Texas, we have to address the root cause of this issues. Remember, America is one big Union of States, bound together by the Constitution. When these union of states are in violation of our our nation’s Constitution, this begins the nullification of that agreement ,and America goes down with it. The beginning of restoration must begin with Texas. Send me to Washington, DC, to stand up for all Texans and restore our Constitution.
